WOMENS SUFFRAGE Because of the immeasurable millions of women who devised, unionized, lectured, wrote, demonstrated, lobbied, displayed, and broke new ground in every domain conceivable, our world is irrevocably modified. Women and men of our generation, and the ones that will follow us, will experience the legacy of the women’s rights that was won against staggering odds in a revolution attained without violence. Some of the women who made such a viable impact on WOMENS rights are, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Stanton, Abigail Adams, Lucy Stone, and Julia Howe to name a few. It starts back in 1776 when Abigail Adams sends a letter to her husband who is attending the Continental Congress working on the “Declaration of Independence,” asking that he and the other men to “Remember the Ladies.” Her husband John replies with humor that the Declaration specifies that “all men are created equal” according to http: //lcew2.loc.gov/anmem/naw .
