SCIENTIFIC ADVANCES During the late 1890's and early 1900's the world was evolving into many different directions from physics to relativity, energy, medicine, and literature. There was also Freuds theory on the psychoanalysis of infantile sexuality, dreams and the id, ego and superego. One of the most important scientific advances during this time period was Physics. In 1895 W. Roentgen discovered a form of energy that penetrates distinct opaque equipments and called them X-rays. This system is able to produce pictures taken of a person skeleton anatomy (bony structure) system. Due to this advanced technology of the X-ray machine, people have been able to repair bone structure, see if there are any foreign materials in their body that should not be, see if there are any deformities in the skeleton anatomy. Secondly one of the other important scientific advancements was in 1896, in which J. Becquerel becomes aware of that uranium give off a similar form of energy. Then in 1897, J.J.
