How far have these theories transcend the weakness of the education system in Physical Education and Sports? Theories are invented to analyze ideas, in order to explain various things that affect the populous. There are theories for everything observable and even things unobservable to the naked eye. According to Sir Isaac Newton, (1642-1727) because human beings are physical in nature, they are subjected to physical causes both within and outside. Physical freedom, he states is simply an illusion. He also states that human beings are not only physical but are also mental. This enables them to “transcend” physical laws. In light of that, it is imperative that the Physical Education (P.E) teacher does not adopt an authoritarian approach when giving instructions to their students. It is the writer’s view that the above statement is easily said and not so easily done. This authoritarian approach in the teaching methods, is a major weakness in the impartation of the knowledge can be seen in how Physical Education teachers instruct their students.
