Graduating form a university is my main goal in life. After I arrived to the United Sates, I knew that many of the opportunities to go to college would go away because of my social status as an emigrant. I've been in the United States for about 4 years. Prior to that, I lived in Mexico until I was 12 years old, therefore I am now bilingual. For me it has been really hard to learn the language, to learn and adapt myself to a new culture, but most of the time, needs are more important and stronger than anything else in this world. My dad is a cook at a restaurant. My mom is a homemaker. They didn't have the opportunity to go to college, and as their first son, I feel the responsibility to make them proud and happy. They are very smart, and as I look at my parents they probably didn't need to go to college to be as smart as they are. Through life they have found the best way to educate me, especially because the most important thing I learned from them is to never fall, and to never give up.
