Romeo and Juliet Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare. It is a play that was written with a strong sense of elegance and compassion. This play shows how prejudice can lead to escalating violence.
From reading the play, Romeo and Juliet, when the feuding families, the Montagues and the Capulets feud, disruption, injuries, fighting and death occur. As well, the animosity against the two families never seems to get resolved due to the fact that they are strong, long time enemies.
The prejudice started in Scene One, of Act One, when the Capulets and Montague servants confronted one another. The Capulet servants insult the Montagues which lead to a street brawl involving the two feuding families. Later on in Scene One of Act three, the intolerance between the families got worse, going beyond border line terrible and to the point that it is just simply ridiculous.
