Morals and values are influenced by the culture and the time period in which a person lives. Today, living in a desegregated world, it is looked down upon to treat someone of a different ethnicity like an animal. However, it wasnt too long ago that Americans accepted this view. African Americans were used as slaves. They were believed to be inferior to the rest of the population. As time has changed, so has what we considered to be right or wrong.
Morals and values are a main theme in both, The Aeneid of Virgil and the Gospel According to Matthew. To have faith in a God and that a person has a destiny in life to fulfill are demonstrated in both books. There are also morals that are considered right in one and wrong in another. For example, the views on how to treat another person and to whom you should be loyal to are different in The Aeneid of Virgil when compared to The Gospel According to Mathew.
