The world was not discovered to the full extent in the1300s. The European were the ones that wanted to explore the world, mainly because they wanted to get wealthier and find more trade routes. Asia spent their time trading and developing their own culture. Africa and America were mainly controlled by the Europeans because they conquered them. Europe were eager to explore and learn. They found America and used slaves from Africa as workers, they trade goods with Asia because they like the spices and wanted to become more wealthier than everyone else.
The Europeans got the idea of exploring from the renaissance. The renaissance means rebirth of art and learning. The Europeans were eager to explore and learn. They invented the compass, which helped all the sailors because now they could sail to other places faster and they would know in which directions to sail to instead of looking at the sun.
