He was a good guy, this cheerful, bearded Sisyphus, the son of the God of all winds Aeolus, the founder of the city of Corinth, which was also called Ethera in antiquity. It was much later that the gods got angry with him and came up with the rumor that no one in the entire Greece could equal him in treachery and deceit, and people carried this legend to our days and believed in it. But in reality, Sisyphus was a good cheerful fellow, who only had one, very human weakness - he did not want to die. So when the gloomy bastard Tanatos, the God of death, came for Sisyphus to drag him to the dark domain of the shadows, the kingdom of Hades, Sisyphus tricked Tanatos, lead him into a tower, and put him into strong shackles. He didn't do it in order to become a legend and carry his name through the centuries; he didn't give a fig about those centuries, if truth were told. He just wanted to live another year or two. However, his actions had, as they say, unexpected and far-reaching consequence......
