The Life of Martin Luther King Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Martin Luther King was born on January 15, 1929. He had a brother named Alfred Daniel, and a sister named Christine. He grew up in a comfortable house in Atlanta. Martin was very smart, and enjoyed making speeches. In high school he was so smart that he skipped 2 grades, and went to a college named Morehouse at age 15. Martin Luther King decided to be a minister. At age 18 he became a minister. Martin graduated from Morehouse at age 19. Martin had once wished that he could help his people. He knew that there were two main problems: they were Segregated, and they were usually poor. Martin Luther King had once heard a speech about Mahatma Ghandi; Ghandi had saved India from being taken over by the British. How? With peace! He had once said that if a law was unjust or unfair, a person had a right to break it, and go to jail gladly! Martin thought, why can't African Americans do the same? While Martin wasn't preaching, he was dating a girl named Correta. They married in 1953 and moved to Montgomery, Alabama. The city was enjoyable except for the segreg......
