Introduction
There are many substantial and vital distinctions between Judaism and Christianity; nevertheless there are also many similarities, primarily because Christianity emerged from Judaism. However it is wrong to assume that Christianity as a whole is seen as a natural progression of Judaism. Christianity broke from Judaism forming a new religion, which diminishes any ideas of the two religions being essentially the same or to see Christianity as the intrinsic continuation of Judaism.
Aims
This investigation aims to compare and contrast two of the worlds main religions which are so closely connected - Judaism and Christianity. As a Christian I hope to learn more about my own religion and its Jewish links. I want to look at Judaism in the same depth as Christianity and hopefully present my findings the least biased means possible.
As a teacher I hope by using this comparative process to learn about Judaism and Christianity that I can develop this process in the classroom not just with Christianity and Judaism but also with all other world religions. I believe th......
