The three jobs I researched were a crime scene investigator, detective, and photographer. In the following paragraphs I will tell you about each career. A crime scene investigator looks over the crime scene and collects any evidence or clues leading to the crime. They have to do walk through, determine search patterns, ensure supplies, and control access to the scene. To become a CSI you must have a minimum of 720 hours of crime scene processing training, 80 hours of latent finger print training, 40 hours of major death investigation, advance death investigation, photography, and blood spatter interpretation. Also, training courses in arson investigation and forensic pathology. The job environment is wherever you were assigned for the week; you work there Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:40, you also work after hours and in the lab. The average salary is $46,080 a year.
