Simply put, a monitor displays information that the computer is currently processing. LCDs are one of the most common technologies found today all around the world. In the late 1970s many of the LED or Light Emission Diodes that were used in wrist watches were replaced by Liquid Crystal Displays because they used a lot less power to function since it takes such little energy to send light through a liquid crystal. I am getting ahead of myself. Everything from a simple calculator or to something else that is as common as a wrist watch or perhaps a personal computer monitor. The technology has not changed much since its early years but grows is popularity everyday. With its evolution comes not only change but higher efficiency and more popularity the prices have dropped to us them. Simply put, an LCD is an acronym for Liquid Crystal Display.
