MacBeth Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

In the Shakespeare’s play MacBeth it can be said that many of the characters in MacBeth were flawed from the beginning. The flawed characters include the First Thane of Cawdor, Duncan, Banquo, Lady MacBeth and MacBeth. Were any of the flaws in the characters greater than the other flaws of the other characters? Who had the greatest flaw? Was there an antagonist to push someone with a flaw over the edge to start a chain of events? The flaws of the First Thane of Cawdor and King Duncan are related. Duncan trusted all his Thanes so much that the First Thane of Cawdor had the idea that he could profit from the attack from Norway without being caught. First Thane of Cawdor thought he could gain fame, power and fortune without losing what he already had. Duncan was not a good king because he let two of his own Thanes, whom he trusted, rebel against him. Then he depended on MacBeth and Banquo to defend his country.
